Another successful Halloween has come and gone. We even got a break in the rain just in time for trick-or-treating. The girls really loaded up on the sugar this year! In addition to the Halloween night trip around the neighborhood, they also got to go trick-or-treating last Saturday around the commercial area of Snoqualmie Ridge. All of the local businesses passed out treats to those dressed in costume. I am not quite sure what to do with all the candy. In years past, I have been able to sneak out a few pieces at a time without them noticing to reduce the final consumption amount, but they are getting more observant in their years and taking much closer inventory. I guess I will have to be more creative! Or just give in to the inevitable.
*a late addition to this post regarding what to do with all the candy. The local YMCA was collecting candy for the Troops. I convinced the girls to at least pick out the ones they don't like (more than you would expect) and we reduced the load by at least 1/3, which filled a one gallon ziploc bag. They learned a little about sharing with others and I feel better about the amount they have left!
It was a wet day, but that didn't stop them!
