Eva and Jordan attended their first Battle Days celebration this weekend. For those of you who don't know, my sister-in-law, Cindy, grew up in a small town just outside of Spokane called Rosalia (population, approx. 600). Every year the town celebrates it's anniversary with an event called Battle Days. Jim and Cindy and the kids try to make it out most years. It's pretty "small town"," but involves a parade in which huge amounts of candy are thrown out to the kids. Jordan and Eva made out quite good. Let's just say they got a better haul than they did at Halloween. We spent the rest of the day at Cindy's mom's house where the kids got to spend hours in the pool with their cousins. The weather was perfect and they had a blast. Thanks Rockness Family for letting us join in the festivities!
Eva waiting patiently for the parade to start, with her empty "candy bag."
Aunt Cindy made the mistake of telling Jordan that a cannon ball was going to go off and make a very loud sound. Jordan sat like this for about 20 minutes until we found that they had decided NOT to do the cannon this year.
Jordan too!
Pool time with cousin Ally.
Poolside with Daddy.
Taking a walk in downtown Spokane.
